Heidelberg's Sports Bar & Restaurant

Everytime I have been to this sports bar it has been great. The wait staff is really good and the food has been good as well. I recently went and the waitress I had was spectacular. she has long dark brown hair almost black hair and pretty blue eyes. She was one of the friendliest waitresses I have had in a long time. I have read these reviews and there is one that really stands out, the person who called the waitress a fat pig, I don‘t think that is called for, sure they may have had bad service but I don‘t think name calling was needed, maybe this person should stay off of the internet until they can grow up, the last time I seen name calling like this was in elementary school. Anyway, I would recommend this place to anyone. Way to go Heidelberg‘s for hiring this waitress. She said she was originally from Omaha but recently moved to Lincoln, thanks for the move.

I think the owner is drinking all the booze here, as the service is extremely bad, while you watch the staff chatting with each other. If you ever get service, the food is horrible, and the drinks are overpriced. This place is a joke. No service, food is lousy, and the people that work here look like they are only interested in themselves. The KENO writer made me provide an ID, and in all the time it took I missed the game, and would have won a LOT of money. This place is a place to avoid....

I went in for dinner on a Tuesday night and the place was practically dead. The server I had was a bigger girl with her hair all over the place in a big red shirt and she looked like she hadn‘t slept in weeks. She was extremely rude to me and my husband and everytime we asked for something she made it seem like it was an extreme inconvenience to break away from her sandwich and her friends. She was on her phone texting almost the entire time and we finally had to pay the guy behind the bar. The whole experience was a joke. Is this the service your bar gives now? I see another person was in recently and said almost the same thing. May want to re-think some of your staff. I have been in other times and never had that bad of service. Nor seen it that dead during dinner service. The food looked really good and the black guy in the kitchen smiled at us when he came out to get his dishes. Maybe you should put him out front and the fat pig in the back.

Went to location on Superior Street. I went in for dinner and a couple of drinks. There was only a handfull of folks although the place has approx. 40 tables and booths. There were 2 waitresses, a bartender, and about 5 customers. My server was not good at all. I had to go ask the bartender what to do to get a waitress and then he told her to come help me. I ordered a beer and each time it was empty, I had to stand up and ask for another one. I got my food and it was pretty good actually! My waitress was not very good though. I had to walk over to the bar to get some extra napkins because she was too busy socializing with the bartender and other waitress to notice me waving at her. I wasn‘t sure if it was because I‘m a Mexican or if I looked like I‘m not wealthy or what the deal was. I came back to my hotel and saw the other poor reviews of this restaurant and now I feel better about myself... EVERYBODY gets bad service at this place apparently!!! I thought it was just me..... I‘ll never eat here when I visit Lincoln again!!!!!

Worst value anywhere. Old cruddy TVs, Ho Hum food that is priced way too high. Drinks are expensive. I have no clue what they think people are paying the high prices for, it‘s not the service or the atmosphere. Total waste of Money going here, and total waste of time. Rip Off Bar is more like it.

By far the worst bar food ever. Everything is old and smothered in sliced cheese. I ordered a simple Club sandwich and the bread was hard as a rock and put on a Submarine sandwich bun. It was Gross.

Worse bar in lincoln. I had to wait for a LONG time to be served the worse mixed drink in my life(its a bar, put some goddamn alcohol in it!). Prices are very high given the quality of service and atmosphere. Staff is lazy and rude. There is nothing that makes this place better or even equal to other sports bars in this area!

Nice Sports Bar Atmosphere. Huge, spacious room w/pool tables, video games for kids, and big screen tv‘s. However, the salad, the cheap iceberg lettuce, tasted a week old and looked limp. Gross salad. The chicken gizzards were good, but I have never had a bad plate anywhere. The pizza was thin and greasy. Ick!!! They made a decent marguarita and the wait staff was friendly, however, nebbish. Very basic food.

Im not sure where some of the negative comments here come from or what bar they are going to. I have always enjoyed Heidelbergs! The food is more like casual dining than any sportsbar I know, and the staff has always been friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it to my friends and family!

Worst food I‘ve had to pay for in a very long time. They don‘t even know what goes in a reuben sandwich.
The food was actually gross, and hardly edible.
The wait staff lacks the friendliness that we expect when we‘re being served and we‘re paying for it.

I love the versatility of Heidelberg‘s, I can hang out with friends and relax, or party it up. I can take my family in for a great meal and great environment. I can play about any game I want including the online Texas Hold‘em. Meet for a business lunch and use the wireless internet to facilitate a meeting, or have a huge gathering for my clients. They cater to my every need and make me feel important, I will have a hard time going anywhere else when I get the chance to go out.

A few friends and I decided to meet at Heidelberg‘s. The service was quick, but one of the servers was very rude, and had an attitude which didn‘t set too well with some of the people at our table. The server that we had wasn‘t very friendly, nor did she have any personality. To be quite honest, personality and friendliness go hand in hand when you work with the public. Maybe this server needs to go back to Basic Serving Techniques 101. Otherwise, the food was good.

I love Heidelbergs! I walk in and can watch any sporting event I want whatever time of day, they even put it on the TV I want. The atmosphere and service rocks. I have only lived here for a year and they treat me like they have known me all my life! Great Place!

Used to be awesome a year and a half ago. Totally went down hill. Bring Josh and Zach back, They really made my trip there nice.

Good food, great atmosphere, good place to hang out with friends and have a great time. Id reccomend it!

There has obviously been some changes recently to this place. The service has really improved, the overall attitude from the employees I spoke with was outstanding. It is once again, my favorite place to eat, drink, and hangout!! If you, like me, once was disappointed, you should try it again now!

This is probably one of the worst sports bars in town. The food tastes and looks like fast food and the service is terrible.

As a sportsbar enthusiast, I love Heidelberg‘s, the layout is fabulous, the food is great, and my friends and I love to hang out there. The location in Omaha is state of the art, while the one on the North side of Lincoln is still my favorite.

Watch your wallet or purse. At one time this was a nice bar/restaurant now its just a dive.

I think the owner drank & gambled away any profits he might have made.

Their waitresses and customer service have really gone down hill lately. It use to be a great place to eat and hang out, but I wouldn‘t recommend it any more.
