Tico‘s have great food each and every visit. I‘ve lived in Lincoln for 25 years, and it is a family favorite! Love the chips and salsa! Oh, my son loves the fried ice cream.

As a Lincoln native, this is still one of my most favorite resturants in town for "Mexican" food. It may not satisfy someone seeking truely authentic Mexican food, but it‘s still a top notch resturant. The Ponsonita Sundae (with the wine sauce) is incredible for desert. The portions are plenty large enough for the price. I usually get the 2 item combo w/beef enchilada & chili rellano. It comes with beans, rice, and salad. for about $11.00 is more than I can eat. The spiced chips are always fresh and have just the right amount of chili powder to kick it up a little. Margaritas are very good as well.
Parking is deceiving, they look full from the outside, but there‘s plenty of room once you find a spot to park
Give it a try, I think you‘ll like it. Highly recommended.

I was Stationed as an Army Recruiter from 78 thru 84 in Lincoln & tried their Chili Rellanos. They are simply fantastic!!!Other places always use bell peppers, but the use Crepes stuffed with cheese and an absolutely mouth watering green chili sauce with meat, my, my. my. I‘m in Texas now & you‘d think you would be able to get them here but you can‘t. For all of you in Lincoln, try the & see if uou dont fall in love with them.

If you desire authentic Mexican cusine....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay AWAY from Tico‘s. I ordered an entree, guacamole appetizer and chips from this "mexican restaurant". Every item was disappointing. The guacamole was over-powered by the disgusting taste of sour cream (an additive to keep their cost down and yours up!!). The entree was also lacking an authentic taste and again was overpowered by more sour cream. To top off the experience, I was subjected to chips smothered in chile powder that was probably used to enhance the flavor of anything on the menu that you dipped into- including the bland, cheap guacamole. I beg the city of Lincoln to provide its citizens with authentic and fresh mexican cuisine....any suggestions????
